The Ancient Emotion Of Love

Love is as ancient as the hieroglyphics on the Mayan pyramids, yet even though this emotion has stood the test of times people still don’t understand it. What is it about love that gets people as tied up as a bull at a rodeo? The answer my sentimental friend is as complex as the solar system. But fear not, I the master of all things heart related am here to guide you towards the answer.

Love is confusing because people don’t understand that love is actually a formula of several different emotions. Love is not just bliss, and sweet dreams of candy kisses. When you are in love you feel a tidal wave of activity in your soul. There is worry, passion, madness and pleasure.

Love feels so good that when you have it you worry about losing it. And when you think about love it drives you mad with passion. And yet when love is upon you it’s nothing short of pure pleasure. So the trick is to understand that love is not a smooth ride on a glassy lake. Love is more exciting. It’s like a ride in the Bering Sea on a crab boat.

Love in all its glory is a plethora of emotions that will make you feel alive and bedraggled all in one day!

Thank you to everyone who has followed Chickgab. It has been an incredible year for me. I have been so busy with some big projects for 2012 that I have not devoted as much time to CG as I would have liked to. That will be changing in 2012 and so will the CG site.

Searching For Power

How Happy is a Lark?

While sitting, relaxing and enjoying a cold adult beverage, something unusual dawned on me. Why do people say, “I am as happy as a lark?” What does this even mean? Now why I thought of such nonsense while sipping on a fine liquor is my business, but what it means to be happy as a lark is all yours.

After a quick Google search and a snoozer read on beautiful song birds, it was revealed that a Lark is a tiny bird that has an almost orgasmic, enchanting song. While I can understand the sweet sounds of nature lulling a person into a state of peace, why should we assume that this is a happy bird?

Honestly, I know a lot of people who can tweet a good tune and it doesn’t mean they are happy. So does it really make sense to say just because a bird does what it was born to do, it makes the silly little thing happy?

From hear forward I the Chick Gab Chick am no longer going to be as happy as a lark, instead I will merely be as enchanting as a lark!
